You have to pick a truck lifestyle [you just do okay?!] so which one do you pick?
Fast and squishy?
Long hauler?
Slow and flexy?
Show and go? (late entry)
Do you go for high speed desert racing, expedition travel, rock crawling or the street scene?
!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!
Why?

My choice isn't there....
But out of those.
Desert truck
Because I like to bomb over sand and haul ass. And they don't have to be absurdly large and high up to do so.

Fast & squishy because this is only a half hour from my home town
& I hate camping.

As I am in the process of expedition-ing my Jeep, you can guess which option I picked. you can just do more with it...

Not a lifestyle everyone here likes, but it exists in trucks....

I wanna go fast! I want to get to the campsite that's 20 miles down the trail in 10 minutes, so I can spend the rest of the day going back up and down the trail.

Fair enough, would you classify this as low and slow? If i added it I would like to be generic enough to fit in all street categories.

I already have Fast & Squishy so I would choose Long Hauler. Expedition travel because it would be fun to live out of your truck

Street truck works.
As this is something never to see dirt, and you can add the SRT10 Ram into it by saying street only.

Is a truck a truck if its not a truck? no. I'm down with ute fever though.

I'll second that.
About 1.5 hours from me.
In the bed, a quad with some power and paddles. My '86 2-stroker looks a little like this >>

I would totally have flexy rock crawling, but you had to go and put desert racing in there....

I appreciate the vote in my favorite category, but I'd definitely call that street, seeing as how its:
a. not a truck in the classic sense
b. not 4wd.

I guess that's a truck lifestyle too, but its not really what I was after. After all, anyone can go and buy an amazing work truck and get to work, not really a lifestyle in the vehicular sense.

This was just the first pickup that came to mind, and I was thinking of offroading it in non-desert and non-rocky areas, but oh well.

Fast/fun off-roading and truckin' adventures are not mutually exclusive.

Only just saw this, Long Hauler. Why? Because if I want to drive into middle of Montana or Maine and live I can.
Edit: spent a week living out of my truck in the North Woods of Maine and it was effing amazing.

Desert trucks are pretty much all there is around where I used to live, and you have to love having 24'' of travel in the front and 36" of travel in the rear. Hello Mr. Burm, oh, sorry I didn't feel you when I launched over you at 80 MPH. . .
But in all truth a well built desert truck should be able to accomplish both minor rock crawling and expedition style camping. . . just not as comfortable to camp out of as a Land Cruiser. . .
