If you are not watching Barrett-Jackson right now get your happy ass in front of your TV and turn the channel to National Geographic and watch it! The Salon collection is about to come across with Schumacher's Ferrari, 300 Gulliwing Mercedes, and more. Do yourself a favor and watch a little car porn!

The commercials are brutal, though. You know when a show loses its advertisers, and the network has to fill in the break with ads for its own shows, charity ads, and the like? Since Speed died in the States, Speed Canada has played the same handful of ads in every single break. Ads for stuff like Dumbest Stuff on Wheels, Nascar on Speed, Dangerous Drives, Are You Faster Than a Redneck, etc. over and over again.

The car porn is great and it's fun to laugh at the rich people paying too much for fake cars and envy them for being able to buy the great ones.

Let's be honest here, there is no such thing as a good commercial!

Some of the prices make me want to cry knowing I'll never own them!

The stuff on TV is fun for that, but if you go there to buy you can actually find some really good deals. I saw an '85 or '86 Escort with ZERO miles on it go for like 2k a couple years ago. I know it's an Escort, but any car that runs is worth at least a grand, and here you got basically a showroom fresh daily driver for nothing. A lot of one off cars and trucks that I know had thousands of hours into them for 15-15k, just because the builder or owner guessed wrong on what would "hit." If you go there with an open mind and discerning eye, you can find deals.

I was there two years ago and I was shocked to see some great cars going for so cheap. The Saturday stuff is mostly for dreaming. Watching the auctions early in the week is fun because it is stuff I could actually buy!
