I wouldn't buy it but I'd drive it.

I wouldn't either on the reliability front. But the thought of removing the stupid frying pans on the back and returning the exterior to mostly stock form would just be too good.
Definitely not something to actually buy, but something to admire in its own messed-up way.

I feel like if I had a friend who drove that and it was his only car I'd be like "Dude, you're the man that car is fucking crazy!" I'd look up to him, but I'd never want to be him. Know what I'm saying?

I'm sorry, 170awhp?.... After that much work? I feel like he seriously overlooked the whole power factor. Looks crazy, actually don't have a problem with that, as long as it can back it up. This can't in the slightest. It'd take more work getting it to a decent power level/undoing the crap that's been done to it, than it's actually worth.
Sidenote: Why not go the somewhat usual route and STI swap the thing if you were going to put that much money into the thing anyways? All this effort and money would've put you at an impressive 300+awhp instead of putting it barely above stock.

Yeah that makes zero sense that it is that low considering GM's 3800 was able to easily hit 240hp/280tq using those blowers. Same with Jaguar on their inline 6.

vote this be tomorrow's NPOCP. Note, it would be a rare case where it would be possible to be both a nice pipe AND a crack pipe

Not really in the know on car parts. Looking at this picture made me think of the Twisted Metal video games. looks like a short minigun or something.

Problem is, when you're looking at superchargers, sometimes displacement does matter. Hard to turn a big blower with low powered motor.

Depends on the blower, but the M62 was used on the ion red line and originalcobalt SS to make 200 from a 2.0L ecotec four cylinder. So I would hope a 2.5L 4 would be able to make 200 as well using the same blower if properly tuned.

I went through four garbage td04 turbos before saying fuck this and putting the blower on. Why? Because fuck you that's why. Its not supposed to be practical really. Its supposed to be fun, and fun it is. Its an ej205, if you wanted to convert it back to turbo, swap in the turbo manifold, uppipe, downpipe and turbo of your choice, flip the FMIC pipe back over towards the turbo and retune it. Make a comfortable 240whp all day long, as it did before. I dont expect anyone to appreciate it really.. the fact that it made it to OL is astounding to me haha.

Problem is I'm starting with a low compression 2.0L that naturally aspirated makes about 100whp in this platform lol. I have an m90 sitting around I was going to put on.. but decided against it and am now swapping in a small block v8.

I'm sorry but if you run even a half way respectable tune on a TD04 and you go through 4 in under 200k miles, you're doing something seriously wrong. Even sitting at Stage 2 at 230-240whp you should easily be able to get at least 80k out of it. If you really wanna do more with it swap the VF48 in and run it at 19psi all day on STI blue injectors and you're good for 260ish whp all day. Treat the clutch nice and you wont have any problems for a long time.
That said, nothing wrong with supercharging the thing, but when you've got the 2.5L in it and supercharging it only gives you 170whp, you're doing something seriously wrong. Would I rock a WRX sittin at 240whp on a decently sized supercharger though? Fuck yea, that'd be fun.

Mostly due to way too high EGTs and used turbos..
Its a 2.0, not a 2.5. I did my math comparing the m62 at 9psi to a td04 at 12.7 psi, instead of the 18-19 it should have been.. so, totally my faulted I ended up with stock wrx power lol.

Totally forgot the one in the ad had the EJ20 swap as well. Used turbo's are typically pretty sketchy, I've heard decent things about rebuilt TD04's though.

Hahah ahh that'd add a bit of perspective. I dunno, It'd be interesting to toss on the M90 and see what kinda power it'd put down, I feel like the parasitic loss would be too drastic to make any big numbers off a supercharged EJ20 though. Sometimes displacement does help.
However I'd like to recommend a new undertaking for this legacy. EJ22 swap, running a bi-turbo setup on forged everything. Because why not run a TD04 to feed a VF48.
