I did this to a friend once. Posted a hot car for cheap (although he went too cheap in this example) and got him 100 phone calls all day and night.

Scam, he forgot a zero, or is a complete idiot. 99.99% it's a scam or missing zero. If it was legit it's already gone. Someone should call though just to find out.

Yep, send a reply to the ad, then throw some popcorn in the microwave and watch as things get needlessly complicated in this scam.

A person I know never buys a car that's not given its current owner any issues. In his head that means that since the previous owner didn't get any of the car's problem quota out of the way, everything has yet to break.

In a horribly convoluted and crazy way that makes a certain amount of sense. :P
