I live in Madison, WI and used to drive a Miata. I didn't drive it top down in the snow, but I would put the top down in ~40 F weather, crank the heat, and wear a big goofy hat

So of course my friend posted the original pic on my facebook with the caption, "Zero fucks given on a Madison, WI morning."

No, I sold my Miata in 2008. And it was blue.

"Do you know how fast you were going?"

Well, the Speedometer is melted, we had a bit of a fire last night, so no, not really.

"Do you have any working gauges?"

Notta one. But the radio works, and sounds clear as a bell!

"This isn't safe for the road!"

Story time! There used to be a guy here in Detroit that was going for a record involving most consecutive days driven with the top down. He was driving either a Miata or an S2000, and was going on his 2nd or 3rd winter of doing this. A local radio show caught wind of this, and did an on-air interview with him since he was getting very close to beating the record. This somehow pissed off a bunch of people, and whenever they saw this guy, they would try to run him off the road. He was easy to spot since no one else was crazy enough to drive a topless convertible once snow hit the ground. After a few close calls, he gave up on the record.
