I'm not really a "tech" guy. I've never owned an MP3 player, tablet, or even a laptop (my enormous desktop PC suits me just fine, thanks). And I'm definitely not one of those people who needs the next big thing. I keep my phones until they die...usually 3-4 years.

Yesterday, I traded in my failing Atrix for the Moto X, and I'm still giddy. I've never had a phone with voice-activation before, and the Moto comes loaded with Google Now, kind of an Android version of Apple's Siri. I've had a hard time stumping it. Meatloaf recipes, the nearest book store, the population of Wichita, the weather in Tokyo, Zooey Deschanel's birthday...anything I ask, it comes right back with. I know this tech has been around for awhile now, but for me, it's a whole new world.

Says the guy who doesn't wear shoes and has one of the most technologically advanced cars in all of Oppo.

What are you gonna do with Zooey Deschanel's birthday celebrate with a lonely cake with a lonely candle in your dark apartment which might or might not contain a giant room sized desktop computer?

I'm envy with you.

Really. I want a moto X with white-purple combo but they stop selling Motorola here in Indonesia since 2011 :(

I avoided using Siri on my iPhone ever since it rolled out. I finally took the plunge a week or so ago, and I've got to say, it's pretty cool. I use it mostly to place calls. But my kids like asking questions like, "Siri, what color is your underwear?" Apple has preprogrammed some clever responses. I asked, "Siri, will you go out with me?" And Siri replied, "I'm not really that kind of assistant, Tim."

Nice, I still am learning the commands too. I got a Droid MAXX a couple months ago. It usually is pretty close, but I did have a funny one the other day. "Search a tubing cutter", and I got "Search a tube in Qatar".
