"Are you serious about plastidip or are you on the wrong website, trolls and idiots are on Gawker" Followed this reply to the citing of the Oppo rules "Rule #3 on oppositelock: Don't ask an utterly stupid question. Rule #4 on oppositelock: Don't be a Sally when someone gives a dickish response to your stupid question."

I have never understood the fascination with plastidip.
But perhaps I'm just stuck inside, where I'm not that concerned with how the outside of the car looks.

Don’t be a dick.
Seriously, don’t be a dick .
And don’t be a shit-stirrer either (here or elsewhere that will lead back to Oppo.
Specifically this entails no trolling, no troll parties, no burner baiting and no Jez baiting
).

This would go against the "Don't stir shit rule" but... http://oppositelock.jalopnik.com/rule-1-on-oppo…

I couldn't find a Patrick Bateman screaming gif, so I used that random one instead.

Yea, we go crazy sometimes.
He is a dick, that was uncalled for and thats not what Oppo should be about at all.

People are stupid, and that's why the great Kinja gods invented the dismiss button, as fun as it is to tell people to go fuck themselves.
Although on a serious note about the plasti dip, if you want to use it as a short term solution, just dont use it. It can be a bitch to put on and then a bitch again when you take it off.
*depending on what your definition of short term is, of course.

I forgot about the dismiss button. I decided against dipping the car. Although, it seems like a good solution to cover my winter set of rims tat I don't really want to take the time to restore.

I've used Plastidip on my wheels, and if you're still considering it, here's my advice to you: lay it on thick. The ease of removal and durability both depend on the thivkness of the plastidip. I painted my wheels a little thin, and the stuff shredded into tiny, tiny pieces of nothing when I tried to remove it. If it's on nice and thick, it should form a nice, tough layer that will all come up in one sheet.

Had a burner bait me on Gizmodo a while ago. Idgit made the mistake of accusing me of not knowing technical facts of my own profession.
