Whoever doesn't like the Subaru rumble clearly loves punching infants in the face while crushing the dreams of every preteen orphan, and then taking candy away from toddlers and throwing it in a toilet TO POLLUTE THE WORLD WITH CANDY WRAPPERS!!!

I agree with that guy. I live in Subie world where everyone has UELs and pisssshhhhhing all day. I'd love to see a WRX or sti out here rocking equal length and real performance. its still got a rumble from the configuration....

I'd totally have an STI wagon if I could be bothered spending the money putting proper headers on it.
Twin turbo legacy me thinks. one day.

It loses the rumble and it kind of sounds farty with a loud exhaust at least.
I think the horsepower difference is like 10 to 20 hp. . . which I guess is a lot if you are going for every bit of performance. On the FRS, the difference is even less maybe like 2 or 3 hp.

You could just get a Subaru with an EZ engine :D
And is this the twin turbo you are talking about?

Hate to say it, but I'm also in agreement here. Around me the streets are filled with flat brim hat wearing monster energy drink enthusiasts, all of whom drive loud excessively UELed WRXs.
I like the sound, I just don't like what that sound tends to be associated with around Portland.

:'( But I don't wear a flat brim hat. I think there are 2 or 3 WRXs at my school and they are fairly loud, but nothing like a Harley. I think I am one of the few where I live with the UEL sound. As you may notice there isn't a big car culture in my town and not really one at my school either.

If you are the only one around then it's just a badass exhaust note! But around portland police start pulling out when they hear a Subaru (usually before they even see it), so that is certainly a no-go for me.

nah that fourth gen has an aftermarket twin turbo setup. It's pretty badass.
The JDM 2nd gen and 3rd gen Legacy B4 sedans or GT wagons came with a twin turbo EJ20H's.
The Liberty B4 twin turbo sedans were sold in Australia but they came with blue leather interiors which haven't aged well at all.
but that said, my current short list for cars to get when I outgrow the MR2 are, organised from cheapest to most expensive:
3rd gen Liberty B4 sedan
if I can find one with the original BBS rims and the rare grey or black interior
ooooor if I can find a imported Legacy GT-B wagon from the same era. Preferred but it would be harder to live with as Subaru don't support imports.
4th gen 3.0R Gen Liberty wagon, with option for supercharger down the track.
MKV Golf R32. because chewbacca exhaust.
