Just saw a commercial for Toyota on TV. Their claim: "Toyota offers more AWD or 4WD vehicles than any other brand!"
I beg to differ, and thems fightin' words.

I'm sure there was tiny type at the bottom of the screen that limited it to purple cars manufactured in Guatemala in October.

Let's list them (US market):
Tundra, Tacoma, Sequoia, Land Cruiser, 4 Runner, Highlander, Rav4, Sienna, FJ Cruiser, Venza, Matrix...
That doesn't include Lexus or the other global cars.

They do sell a lot of Highlanders though... could be legit if they're talking numbers.

Who stacks up? Audi maybe. Can't be Subaru, not enough cars.

Audi: A3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, R8, TT, Q5, 7
BMW: 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, X1, 3, 5, 6
I guess it gets fuzzy if you consider wagon/crew cab/convertible/performance variants as other models.

They said offers not sells. Hmmm.

Ah, but marketing. Subaru could easily say they sell the most AWD by % of sales. "Toyota sells more AWD vehicles than any other brand"
When refering to sales of vehicles with AWD vs without
But Toyotas claims sounds valid... Even if they barely sell any of them, they do offer it.

Pretty sure they just mean offers. I can't imagine most Matrix, Sienna, or Venza shoppers are opting to buy the AWD.

That's fair. I figured that was marketing speak by Toyota.
