I'm sure many of you saw the article on the wrecked Camaro on the FP. And how GM & Berger Chevrolet arranged for a similar car to be sent to the Stealership that wrecked the first.
This is just a hat tip to Berger Chevrolet (in Grand Rapids, MI) They have always been there for gearheads. I grew up in that midwest city and they always had the best selection of performance cars and had an almost unlimited stock of factory and aftermarket performance parts ready to go. Well done Berger!

One diss on berger - they strapped a supercharger on a camaro SS back in 2012 and are still asking over 100k for it

Don't knock it till you tried it.
Or saw one on the street driven by an international student and you knew he had no idea what he got himself into.

Berger is about 10 miles from my house.
I have friends that work there.
You grew up here?

I think it was the originating dealer of the problem.

Yes sir, I did. Went to Catholic Central High and Ottawa Hills High. I'm probably a bit older than many on this site. I will just say that I owned a 66 GTO when it was only 6 years old. Where are you?

NW GR, between Walker and Marne area.
Grew up near Covell/Leonard.
Went to GRCHS. Worked at Courtesy Dodge (formerly Northfield Dodge before we moved to 28th st) for years. Right down the street from Berger, and Duthler Ford.
Lots of Jalops from West Michigan.

Indeed there are. The muscle car scene was incredible when I lived there.

Still is. We have our own Woodward Cruise, set the last weekend in August. 28th St. Cops pretty much let anything go.

28th st. End to end. All weekend.
I live near Standale and Wilson, NW which is what 28st turns into at it's west end. There's lots of noise in that area for days and days near that time.

Wow. Do the cops close it off or is it just normal 28th St?

No, it's just normal 28th st. With dealership car shows, and burnouts, lots of burnouts. And the occasional street race.
I know Courtesy has everyone from Highland now, so there's Superbirds and Hemi cars in their lot.
Norm Ver Hage also has a cool car show very near that time. He has his own museum of sorts.

Sounds like a great time. Maybe I will try to get there some day. I still have some family in GR so I could kill 2 birds with one stone.

For Google information for dates, it's called the Metro Cruise.
