I'd be perfectly happy with the 2.0T, 258 tq and rear biased AWD is plenty fun.

The only thing holding me back from buying one of these (I really like the color too!) is the money. Someday.

Not in the US. And probably a little over budget.

I'll just leave this here.
$700 and you get ~60HP and a SHIT load more torques. Do it. My A5 gets almost 40 MPG with this tune on the highway.

But where you the dude that got his A5 messed up and warranty voided from that tune?

Appreciate that...unfortunately Audi wont sell me one in the US even if I had the monies. :)

Huh. I thought the 4-banger Audi's got a FWD-biased AWD system that only kicked in the rear wheels when traction loss was present. Is this not the case anymore?

Yes, but of course you need to realize that there is a chance that you could void the warranty. Usually, you can flash to stock and not have any issues, but my case was "special" and neither APR nor the shop that did the tune had ever seen anything like this before. Cost me $3000. I probably should have waited until my warranty was completely done before trying it, but you live and learn. I had a problem and I paid for it. Moving on...

I love the 2.0T in our '08 Passat Wagon. If they had offered AWD with the 2.0 I probably would have gotten it, but at the time it AWD was only offered with the V6. Also no 6 spd stick on the V6 models (or AWD?).

Oh, I didn't take it in any way! I'm still a little salty about it is all... No one likes parting with $3000 for something that is a clearly a manufacturing defect and your warranty gets voided because of something that was attributed to swamp gas and cow farts. lol
Everyone be careful out there!

B7 and up will prefer the rear until you encounter slip.
B8 and up with the crown differentials and sport diffs will do the torque vectoring dance.

Since I'm not that big a child, nor do I want to piss off Audi of America with a tune and void my warranty (we all know what Germans can be like off warranty to boot) I would pick the V6 and slap a nice exhaust on it.
Don't need the speed, just need nice sounds and a large boot.

Same. I figure it's only worth my hard earned $1 when it's over 100 mil. That way, I can help as many people in my life as possible. It's all about giving. Well, that and an island getaway here or there.

B8!
Actually if I'm honest, I'd take an Allroad right now. Don't know where the money would come from, but I'd take it to RPI to replace the dodgy manufacturer air system with something better.
And then perhaps get European tail lights, because I despise American all red taillights.
Tom McParland
> Victorious Secret

I could forgive the Allroad, I love the fender flares...if they would just offer a damn "Sport" suspension package that is lowered from the factory.
Victorious Secret
> Tom McParland
01/10/2014 at 12:15 | 0 |
You can vagcom the thing to lower the minimum suspension setting. Its what my friend did on his older Allroad. So his new low setting is lower than factory, and his new high setting is higher than factory.

Call me crazy but I just don't want to spend aftermarket money on a new or lightly used car. I just want to buy it and be done.
Victorious Secret

Anything that has Audi and air suspension practically requires it.
The OEM systems aren't bad so much as inconsistent, which is bad when you have to deal with a broken one.
The 3rd party replacements effectively do the reliable, consistent job that the originals should have been doing

Does the new Allroad have air-suspension, thought it was just a raised Avant suspension.

Would prefer some warranty coverage because zeGermans. And I'm not real keen on the styling of he A6 even though it does have the 3.0T

> Tom McParland
01/10/2014 at 13:24 | 0 |
It doesn't look that different from the A4. Come on....3.0T!
There's always an aftermarket extended warranty. Or since it's at an Audi dealer you could ask them to put it thru the CPO process. But Audi's CPO warranty isn't the greatest, it's got a deductible.

Sad bubble face
Awesome face-
And the handling is much sharper on the A4. Sorry I'm picky about these things...but yeah 3.0T is awesome

right, didn't see it. I have paddle shifters on my GTI, I love to drive the car in manual mode, but i'm using the stick rather than the paddles. Theres a bit of a delay and you can't use them when turning the wheel. If its the only thing that keeps you from buying it, I'm sure you can go over it! It's the same paddle format as mine and it's not DSG, it's going to be cool the first month...
