Yes, that is a 911...but it is neither ultra rare, nor a Targa...and certainly not an RS.

Maybe he means its a 911 [R]eally, [S]eriously.

Oooo, plus it is clearly a dealer posting in the CTO section (free!) that is now a serious no-no with craigslist. BUSTED!!
Although, I believe that is a targa, it is not an RS.

11k+ miles and seems like almost a year old. Is it normal for a car like that to retain as much value? It looks like it only depreciated $7k.

It's not a Targa. It's got a sliding moonroof, sure...but the 991 Targa is not in production yet and will be unveiled at the Detroit Motor Show this month.

Although Porsche themselves called it a Targa, not sure I agree :)

996's have terrible residuals, but 997's (particularly late model) depreciated much more slowly. The price doesn't surprise me.

Never have I ever heard the term "Ultra Exotic". I did a lookup of the VIN, apparently the chassis is a 997 and not a 991. It's a 3.6L, not a 3.4L. Puts out 345HP not "over 350HP". He did get the Carrera part correct though!

Wow. That's impressive. The miles (not high in general, but high for a sports car) bothers me with the price. That's just a personal thing. Thanks for the info

Ah - you are correct, i was thinking of the 997 Targa, which looks like a sunroof, but the moving glass section goes under the back glass. That one is just a sunroof.

Sounds like a scam to me!

Mmmm, that's a lot of bullshit for a single Craigslist post.

The first thing that got me thinking the same thing was the talk about the engine and engine output, but no pictures of the engine. Normally (especially from a dealer) there would be a picture of the engine so that people who don't have a clue about them can look at them and "ooo" and "ahhh" at it.

well, in all fairness, you can't even see the 991's engine.

Yea, ok. I'll give them that but still. The in-accuracies in the ad just make it sound sketchy as shit.
