I just finished uploading 700 photos of my wedding to Facebook, AND TAGGED THEM ALL. That is how much free time I have when we aren't drilling.

Haven't had to slide all night and only taking surveys every other stand. Yeah things are a little dull right now.

Are you directional? I'm a shallow hazards guy, and am waiting for them to start running down casing and start cementing. I could be monitoring this god damn well from home but Shell wants us here. Ugh.

Yeah I'm directional. Where are you with Shell? Piloncillo? Barnett?

I'm actually remote monitoring from their office in Houston. The rig I'm monitoring is GOM off of the Yucatan I believe. I'm actually third party so I work different rigs when they are drilling the riserless section. Before this I was on the Mad Dog for BP in December, and in the Thunderhorse field on a drill ship in November.

Oh so you're one of those fancy office people who get to go home every night. I've never worked offshore and don't really have a desire too, I'll stick with drilling in Texas and Louisiana thank you very much.

Haha I am when I'm remote monitoring. When I'm offshore I obviously am not able to but the PTO I accrue is awesome. I've heard they work directional drillers like a dog though on land rigs. Offshore isn't so bad, I don't mind it so far.
