It's been on my mind for years, so there it goes. Why was it called Montreal? Is it related to the city of Montreal?

The concept version was first shown at the Montreal auto show.

Close, but not quite. It wasn't an auto show. Rather, it was Expo '67, which was in Montreal, of course.

Its early concept was first shown at Expo '67 , which was held in Montreal. The concept didn't have a name, but when they eventually made a production version, "Montreal" was an obvious choice.

I did heard and saw stuff about Expo 67, it's my city after all. But this is quite new to me! You learn everyday! Thanks for answer and have a Naked Montreal as my gratitude!
