X-37B Is Going to Kennedy

!!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! is reporting that the X-37B will be based out of Kennedy going forward. They will utilize one of the vacated Orbiter Processing Facility for vehicle maintenance. They will also launch and recover the vehicle on Kennedy's pad and the now underutilized runway.

The X-37B, which does "stuff" for the government, is derived from existing shuttle technology. It is also a long duration vehicle which can spend over a year in orbit. The move is expected to bring hundreds of jobs to the area and make use of the existing infrastructure and know-how that 50+ years of space exploration have brought to the area.

I have a stargazing app with an additional satellite tracking feature and have been able to track the X-37B orbiting over my house a couple of times in the past few days.

That's great news for the folks at Cape Canaveral, good to see the facilities being further used.

I'm sooooo curious what it did up there but I also think it's better for my life if I don't know. Because government kills people who know too much.
