Back in April, there was discussion about !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! in the filming of the upcoming Need for Speed movie, and !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! made specifically for the movie.

Of course they weren't real. In case there was any lingering doubt, or if you're just curious about the replica cars, !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! specifically about the star cars.

The gist of it is that all of the supercars are replicas built on identical tube chassis, with mid-mounted Chevy LS3 engines and fibreglass replica bodies.

It is better like this because the LS3 makes cheap power, is easy to run and there is no danger of having real cars getting damaged. With all these cars being the ultimate beaters the stuntmen can go absolutely nuts, the movie is probably still going to suck.
