Damn airplanes and their air pressure

My flight landed more than 24 hours ago, and my right ear still hasn't "popped." It feels like my head is half underwater. I've tried chewing gum, yawning, burping, blowing my nose, drinking water, drinking tea, taking a hot shower, yelling at the top of my lungs, and just about standing on my head, but nothing is correcting the air pressure. I just want my damn ear to pop!

stand on your head and drink 6 beers upside down. If it doesnt get your ear to pop you wont care about it anyways

Valsalva maneuver always works for me.

Unless that's an ear infection coming on, you've probably got too much pressure in your middle ear instead of too little.

Have you tried cupping your palm over your ear and pumping gently?

Might be time to have your ears cleaned. I have to go to the doctor about once a year and have them irrigated. It's amazing how much wax comes out of there.

Blow your nose while holding the nostrils shut

Yeah my sister just had this done last week. Painless and quick solution.

Drink a big gulp of soda quickly. The resultant burping helps. Sometimes.
