I was on my way to my fiancee's parent's house, and on the highway we saw a bunch of interesting cars. I couldn't capture most of them, but I did snap a few. A friend of mine told me today that there was a classic car event on a city nearby. If I had known...

This VW clearly didn't have a typical Beetle/Typ II engine. Sounded very much like a 912.

That's us, reflected on a C-Type's ass!

I recorded a bit of video, but I'm not going to post it because I had a brain fart and experienced a "Pretty sure it's a lambo, dude" moment and said D-Type instead of C-Type to my lady. I may cut the audio then.

Slug bus truck!!!

Sorry that you had to go to your future in-laws instead of a classic car event. I've had a few of those days myself.

Yeah. I felt bummed out all weekend thinking of these cars. And these are the ones I was able to picture. There was also a Turbo 964 and a Miura to give an idea. Beautiful.

The lady agreed to go to the event if we could find about it. And we googled for a few minutes and came up with nothing. It was sort of "unlisted", so you had to know where and when it was. I called a friend of mine who is usually involved in these things several times that day, but he was busy driving a tuned camaro and left his phone at home. He texted me this morning apologising and telling me where it was... great.
