Dallas, 1984: On the crumbling street track in Dallas Nigel Mansell did a stunning job to take his first pole position. Mansell led the first half of the race before losing the lead to Keke Rosberg. Three laps from home his gearbox failed, and after attempting to push his car across the line, he was classified sixth. He later fainted with the effort of doing so.

I know. There are plenty examples of this image out there, but for some weird reason all the high res are censored, and the low res versions grainy.

As a Dallas resident, I still haven't ever figured out what the fuck they were thinking. Putting on a race in one of the hottest parts of the country, in the hottest month of the year, in the hottest part of the city? Just plain stupid.
And you know what's even better? Bernie and co. originally wanted the USGP at COTA to happen in June/July. SUPERLOLZ HAHAHAHAHA STUPID MOTHERFUCKERS.
Seriously, I just don't get it. This is exactly what I would expect to happen.

It annoys me, some of the F1 diecasts in my collection have them printed on (the Lotus 72E for example, in the JPS colors), whereas the Camel logo on the Williams FW14 - missing...(pre Tobacco advertising ban too, so no alternative to use instead...)
