Why are they running it with the hood open? They need to get a better fan. Heat extraction is why that hood has a huge hole in it. Plus the fact that it opens towards the front so it really isn't helping any more air cool the motor. They are rated 450 from the factory right? I bet once some miles get put on the car the power will go up as well.

There is a wire hooked up to something in the engine bay, I don't think they want to squash that wire into two pieces.

I'm debating it. My company usually coughs up tickets for events like that, so if they do, I'll definitely be there. It looks like it would be fun. Is that your car in your avatar? I've seen more of the Subuyotas around here than I ever expected.

Unfortunately, that is not my car. I drive a base model Cobalt. Took my avatar's photo at a Coffee and Cars gathering last year a month or two after the car came out. It really caught my eye and I felt like that is how the car should have exited the factory. If I remember correctly, it was just beginning its process of being modified by Inline Racing. It is completely different now than what it was then.

Now I think there's more FRS/BRZ in the Houston area than ever before. Last month at the Coffee and Cars gathering there were at least 15-20 and sometimes I see them on a daily basis.

Missed that, but still it looks like that wire could be routed up to the cowl, or wrapped in some heat shielding and through the bottom. I wonder what that was hooked up to.

Confused why people thing that the numbers aren't right that is rwhp through the drive train. seems to be right on the numbers, there is always loss through the drive train so 450/450 putting out 402 to the wheels seems about right.
