So, while I'm all for this, most people just love being able to hear the roar (or whine) of the engines as they drive by. What's going to happen when racing has really no sound except that of the crowd?

I'm sure something can be done to make electric motors loud enough to hear - they do tend to whine a bit. Maybe a F1 engine sound track playing on an ext speaker?
