True. The difference is I have never actually seen one of those for sale. I actually came pretty close to buying the sedan a while back.

I've seen two. Of course one was in Cardiff, Wales. So that doesn't really count.

I saw a super sweet yellow R wagon in Manteo, NC

My wife did not understand why I crossed the street to walk around it and ogle it.

I wanted to leave a note begging to buy it

Everyone has a talent. And aren't you supposed to spit it out after you've tasted it?

Good point. That is what they told me I was supposed to do when I was touring all those vineyards in Champagne last month. Not that I listened to them in the slightest...

Otherwise you'd get drunk if you sampled as many beers as I have. And who drinks alcohol for the dastardly side effects? Not I good sir, I drink them solely for the experience of having sampled the fine tastes.

Gamecat235: World's foremost teetotaling beer connoisseur.

By the way, I have been searching for some good American sour beers since my trip to the Cantillon brewery, and I have to say that Green Flash's Rayon Vert and Bell's Oarsman are both pretty fantastic. I know that they are not exactly your favorite style, but if you are ever looking to change things up a bit, you might give them a try.

Actually, I've been on a sour kick for the last couple of months. My advice? The best brewery on the planet... Russian River. Their wild ales? Holy Fuck.

Of course you can only get them in CA, and then you pay for what you get. But wow. Also, Deschutes' Green Monster is supposed to be amazing (I have one bottle, which I intend to try soon, Plaza might be getting more, Total Wine current has some).

And Oarsman is great.

Deschutes' description for Green Monster is:

Here at Deschutes Brewery, we're always on the lookout for a chance to create something new. That's why, more than 3 years ago, our brewers decided to fill up some Oregon pinot barrels with a beer gone astray and infect it with Brettanomyces, and then wait for the transformation. Around the brewhouse it was known as "Green Monster," and the name stuck. At the end of this experimentation story, you will find a monstrously fantastic, sour beer, with slight cherry and dried fruit aroma. In fact, the only scary thing about this beer is that it is SO LIMITED!

Damn. I need to get me some of that. They have it at Total Wine, you say?

They did this weekend. I would call both locations and ask... or maybe check the websites. ... Hold on... Checked websites for both... They both say limited inventory, contact store.

I was just looking at some reviews for different geuzes online and ran across this gem of a review:

Vinegary nose with cobwebs, funky yeast, a bit dank and unrefined. Cheesy with horse blanket on the palate. Quite sour. Tasty. This was my go-to gueuze before I discovered Cantillon.

Pretty much epitomizes my relationship with sours. Every individual characteristic about them makes them sound utterly disgusting and like nothing I would ever want to drink, but somehow, when you add it all up, they are tasty and I want more. I have to admit that I kinda feel like an idiot for wanting to drink this stuff, though.

Yep. the sum of their parts is very much better than trying those descriptors separately. But remember that "cat pee" is a sought after aroma for certain types of wine, and fresh peat is also great for some scotches. So...

...wait, Horse Blanket? What?

I know, right? Horse blanket ? WTF!

Although, come to think of it, "saddle leather" is typically a flavor that I look for in scotch. Say what you will, but at least I am consistent with my tastes...
