i spotted this listing for a 1989 Ferrari Testarossa while window shopping on ebay motors (sorted by "year: oldest first", of course). is it me or does the description seem a bit... douchey?

LOL @ " custom racing buckets" They look like patio furniture cushions, and don't even match.

2 extra, very comfortable racing bucket seats that make it easier for people over 6'2 to sit in and drive the car. (I'm 6'1'' and perfectly comfortable with an extra 1.5''s of headroom so I never swapped the seats to the racing buckets which were custom made for the previous owner, out of the best materials).

I've been giving some thought to a v12 Ferrari, nothing immediate as the only thing I'm willing to make room for now would be a 4c. The Testarosa used to turn my head like no other and was my go to answer even until probably only 4 years ago, which would have been the end of college. Now it just seems brash and unnecessary for some reason. Recently I've found my thoughts often overtaken by a BB 512i, there's just something about it that speaks to me. I think it's the wheels.

I'm right with ya on the 512 BB over the Testarossa (although I'm coming around to the 'rossa... slowly). I've been digging the idea of a 308 in the driveway (not anytime soon - down the road). Then my coworker took me to his friend's house to see his small car collection which included a 512. Wowzers is it a lovely beast. Like the 308's bigger, stronger brother.

I especially like 512's in colors other than red:
