First version I actually can tolerate.. Ylvis are great and all that (I'm norwegian, so I "get" what they do) but I HATE that tune, normally...

Oh wow.. Before you posted this, I had no idea that that original... let's call it song for now.. existed. And I feel like my life was better 5 minutes ago. Especially after reading the top Youtube comment saying: "2012: Gagnam Style, 2013: the fox"

The metal version is a lot better though.

Hehe. Ylvis does one thing and one thing ONLY... humour and satire. But I'm FED UP with the original... :) But I love what they do, but when things go viral.. well.. meh..

The original was (and is) just a joke really, everything Ylvis does should be seen as humour or satire.. And I love the shows they do, but when things like this go viral, meh... I get fed up..

I dunno, I dig the fact that the alternate "song of the summer" is one big middle-finger to pop music and pop culture. Sure it's got an obnoxious sound, but that was the point... make it sound obnoxious, but just catchy enough for it to resonate.

Ahh... yeah, don't get me wrong here. My grief is that tons of people don't GET that it's a frigging joke.. Go to a bar here in Norway and they play it like it's "the next big thing".. but then again, it kinda was.. so.. crap.. Yeah :)
