Half Holden, Half Mazda. All questionable.

What happens when you put a NA 13B into a 3472 lb (1575 kg) full size sedan? Not a lot.
Top speed was 103mph, fuel economy was terrible (reports suggest 9mpg (26L/100km), and at the time, cost twice as much a new Cosmo.

Perhaps ironically, the idea was conceived to steal sales in the Japanese luxury car segment. One of its competitors was the also-Holden-sourced Isuzu Statesman DeVille, which was the luxury long-wheelbase version of the Premier, on which the Roadpacer was based. However, Isuzu chose to retain Holden's engines (assumedly the 3.3L six, 4.2L and/or 5.0L V8).

Unsurprisingly, only 800 units were sold during its two year jaunt. Few survive today. Conversely, fewer than 250 Isuzus were sold.
