I'll about to go there...
No, not without a clutch, no.

It's a Trans Am... but it's an automatic... but it's a Trans Am... but it's an automatic...

But it came out to a 1973 455 Super Duty Trans Am... the best kind of Trans Am.

Not just a trans am, a 1973 455 Super Duty Trans Am... the most powerful Trans Am (I don't know if that fact is true or not)

Well, the most insane Cobra of all also had an automatic so...
I'm okay with this!

OEM. You gotta live with what ya got. To change would ruin the looks and value. That is a very classic car. (as one Pontiac man to another)

What's so insane about it (other than the general insaneness of a cobra)?

Twin Paxton superchargers.

My. God. I wasn't prepared for that.

800 hp in 1966. There's a reason Bill Cosby returned his after one test drive.

Wow, I literally can't comprehend that hp number from a "production" car built in the 1960s.

For perspective, the Koenigsegg CCR makes 795 hp. It was probably the most terrifying thing produced in that decade.

What's it called?

The Cobra Super Snake. It's where Shelby's current upgraded GT500 got it's name.

Sally Fields.
EDIT: I knew there was a reason I kept this on my computer for so long

As far as roadgoing Trans Am's go, you would be correct... I think. Definitely the torqueiest though.

Also, when having to deal with frequent stop and go traffic, and the lack of non-super-heavy clutches for muscle cars, sometimes it's advantageous to have an auto.
