Besides Sebastian Vettel cruising to a 30 second win, the racing was very good in my opinion throughout the field. Those last few laps were especially chaotic, and it looked like Massa and Hamilton were almost set to resume their argy bargy antics from the last couple of years.

But how does Vettel do it? The guys in the top seats are there because of genuine talent; they're not paying their way into F1. The engineers at the top teams are also the best in perhaps all of motorsports. I can fathom a 30 second gap from first to second in say, a 6 hour endurance race, but a 2 hour sprint race?

What are your thoughts?

you mean besides me cruising into a spoiler in less than 30 seconds? Lol.

I'm not too upset about it, but someone else might be.

I think Riccardo should be embarrassed, as should DiResta

If "Vettel cruising to a win" is an F1 spoiler for you, clearly you don't watch the races very often ;-)

I prefer to be kept in the dark anyway. It gives me hope that maybe someone else wins. Which would be more fun.

The start was really good (Alonso!), and the racing right after for about 10 laps or so.

Pretty damn boring mid-race, with the slight exception of the caution, even the re-start after the caution was kind of boring/un-eventful.

Last 10 laps or so were quite good. Especially the part with Kimi battling Button and then passing him on the outside. That was the one exciting moment of the race besides the start.

Overall I'd give it a "ok"

I don't get too concerned about Vettel running away with the lead, that doesn't necessarily spoil the race for me if there is good racing mid-pack/for podium spots.

Oh indeed. I always hope someone else will win. But it doesn't happen much so I watch Indycar for that instead :-)

Boring in that Vettel just ran away with it, but there was some good action at the front.

Alonso had a great start and opening stint, kind of allowed him to drive to a comfortable P2. Kimi ran a great race, made some great passes, and showed again that the Lotus is an absolute doll to its tires. More bad luck for Webber, the McLarens have a weird ability to start strong but then absolutely fade, the Saubers looked pretty decent all weekend, and lolzzzzzzzzz at Di Resta and Riccardo.

more lulz go to Di Resta. Riccardo already has his Red Bull seat and looks like 'I ain't care' for the rest of the season.

As long there is some decent racing and some good coverage of my favorite drivers, I'm usually happy.

Egg on their face, they have it.

Really have to start to wonder how much longer Di Resta is going to hold on to his seat there at FI. So much promise, but he can't seem to capitalize on it. Both he and Sutil seem to have a hard time avoiding incidents; they don't often seem to cause incidents, but they certainly do get caught up in a lot of them. Guess that's a peril of running mid-pack every race.

The FIA or whatever broadcast everyone gets does a pretty good job of ignoring Vettel once he's just running laps 10 seconds ahead of second place. I think even the NBC commentators mentioned that yesterday.

I think your last sentence really sums it up. They're always too close to Maldonado and Perez and the other wreckers.

And what a disappointing year for Grosjean this season.
