Racing season is winding down but the NFL is just getting started. It makes for a busy weekend for fans of both sports. It also overloads your brain if you try to take it all in. This is the result.
Formula 1: Wide Receiver. The fastest, most agile, impressive athletes to watch. A little fragile, a lot of drama. Just watching them run alone is impressive.
Nascar: O-Line. Big guys with a simple job getting action in the trenches. Blocking is a big part of their job. There's lots of hard contact and there are always dirty little games being played, hopefully out of sight of the officials. More often than not are caught when they cheat.
V8 Supercars: D-Tackle. Big like an O-lineman, but a little more agile and athletic. Violence in motion.
Rally: QB. Smart, focused and dedicated. Has a guy calling stuff out to him on a headset. Expects to take some hits, always finishes dirty.
IRL: Corner Back: Really fast. If you can't make it as a WR you play corner. Close racing where you stick to your opponent like glue.
Drag Racing: Kickers. You chances come one at a time and it's over really quickly. If you don't go straight, you're probably not doing it right.
GT Cars: Linebackers. Really good all around athletes.
Touring Cars: Running Backs: Fast, but not that fast. Have a tendency to seek contact. Some are big thumpers, some are little scat backs.
Trans-Am: Tight-Ends. Big like stock cars, but out there running routes.
Prototypes: Slot Receivers. A lot like WRs. Come in many shapes, sizes and speeds.
Rallycross: Safety. All over the field. Exciting to watch. Big hits.
