So I've got a question: Does anyone else get headaches after long periods of play? Both me and a friend have this happen, and I'm wondering if it's more general? My best guess is due to the strangeness that happens with distant objects during the day. This game needs Anti-Aliasing bad.

I have an extremely obsessive personality. Most things, internet included, come and go in waves of single-minded dedication. I'm sure I'll be back more consistently at some point, once whatever is holding my attention at the moment fades.

No. When Skyrim came out I played that shit for 13 hours a day for 4 days straight. I never got a headache ones. And yest I am very proud of logging nearly 50hrs in a game in under a week.

I've been known to do some intense marathon sessions of gaming, but GTA V is the only game that's ever given me a headache, which is why I'm curious.
And it's every single time I play, nothing else could be causing it.

Try messing with the image smoothing on your tv. Try it on and off and see if its better either way. Sometimes it can mess with yiur head.

No headaches yet, but I do sometimes get them from long sessions of any game.
I've been playing for hours on end since Tuesday morning (~41.25h thus far). I'm on Ps3 (X360 apparently performs differently depending on whether or not the play disc is installed), and until today was using a piddly-ass 19" 720P LCD. This afternoon, I hooked it up to the 42" 1080P LCD, and it's so close that I can touch the screen with my toes. Anyway, it's no harder on my eyes than anything else.

I think you meant to respond to One Electric. :)

I only play ~2 hours at a time. Even after the second day, I started getting headaches and cramps. The bad part is, I limit my time playing because I'm more worried about my old 360 than my health.

Not with this game in particular no. I try to take breaks every two hours or so at least

Try messing with the settings, I had a game that did that to me once. I tuned a few things and my eyes accepted it as good.

Turn on your room lights then turn down your telly's brightness for a better balance. A telly could give you a headache if it's the only source of light in a dark room. Cheers!

Being a console game there aren't a whole lot of settings to tweak. I messed with my TV, tried turning on the "smooth motion" bullshit which helped a bit.

I don't think it's brightness. It happens both during the day in a room with lots of natural light and at night with some very powerful (For green screen work) lights. It definitely seems to be something specific to that game.
Regardless, this doesn't seem to be something that is a general problem, so it may yet be some unknown factor common to my friend and I's environments.

Oh, ah. I hope the problem has been resolved for you. Enjoy the game!
