Does Gawker not have a test environment? Do they not have a team that puts out notices that notifies users when they're going to bring something down, push something live, fiddle around so that users don't bang their heads against their keyboard wondering why nothing is working. If I did such a fucked up job, well, I wouldn't have a job.
Yes, I know, its all free and I can take my bat and ball and go play somewhere else. That doesn't really mean anything does it?

It's working fine for me, but if you're having serious issues you can send the tech team a message .

I couldn't post last night. This was about that.

Yeah we had some server issues. They should be resolved now – post away!

I don't understand the constant server issues. The constant glitches in Kinja. Don't understand. Is Gawker Media being run on a 486-33 with a bad network card in it?
Whoever runs this zoo must HATE his coders...it seems like that as soon as things gets stable it gets messed with...gets changed around yet doesn't bring anything new to the table. It's wearing on the regulars...

Damn straight, brotha.
Far too many 503's and "unhealthy backends" (URGE TO BE BEAVIS OVERWHELMING) and the complete inability to even comment (not even bringing up the comment box? REALLY, NIBBLES?)
Like it's been mentioned by so many - sandbox and test that shit before release.
If I had to test shit before release, so should Gawker - we should NOT be your beta squad.
*grumps*

agreed, have they not heard of validation and verification?
That's why I left the first time, since came back, thinking of dropping gawker based sites again.
