There won't be flooding. Look at the trend - each mega disaster is getting warmer (snow -> water -> ???). I'm guessing that a previously unknown volcano will erupt and we'll be seeing pictures of wild lava flows through downtown Calgary.
(Nothing personal against Calgary; they're just closer to the mountains than Edmonton, and therefore more likely to suffer from this hypothetical disaster scenario.)

Eh, I figure its a 50-50 toss up between a rampaging horde of beavers and grizzlies or an ice tornado that targets a trailer park just outside Red Deer, for the start of Fall.
either way I need to stock up on some beer....
