Just hanging out in Zeewolde for now, went down to Schiveningen today, took a slow day to catch up on jet lag. Our rental car isn't too bad, Opel Astra with the eco diesel engine.

Cruising it uses around 4 L/100 km, which makes paying for gas much easier, since we're going to be putting over 10,000 km on it. That also might mean that we end up needing to get an oil change in our rental car. Anyone know what the service interval on these small diesels is?

Welcome!

How do you like your Verano Astra? Apparently you really do have the eco diesel, according to the plates it's the base 1.3 liter cdti with 95 ponies. 0-62 in 14.5 seconds. You could get the pre-facelift Astra H with a 110, 125, 130 and 165 hp diesel as well. Date of first registration of 18-THD-8 is February first 2012. https://ovi.rdw.nl/default.aspx?k…
A quick google search taught me the service interval of that car is said to be 20,000 miles . http://carleasingmadesimple.com/business-car-l…

An oil change on a rental car? That's like cable TV for a portaloo.
