The level of stupid in Americans is always mind-boggling.

Nation's Motto: "if we make sure most people are stupid and spending their time on silly things, smart people can put their labor and resources to good use building cool things."

I now refuse to call myself an American.

Maybe this case is american, but what suggests to you that every other person on this planet is any better?
People suck, pretty much universally, it is just a matter of variation of topic.

I can't believe people watch that show let alone care enough to tweet racist bullshit.
![]() 09/19/2013 at 12:47 |

We also agreed not to use stupid words like "gaiz."
This doesn't reflect a new level of ignorance. This reflects that anyone with a cell phone can now post their idiotic thought for the entire world to read.

To all non-braindead Americans out there:
I may be Euro, and I may have grown on the notion that you're all fat hamburger-loving wankers that have never read a book in their lives, but I'm too smart to actually believe that bullshit. I know that the majority of you are the smart ones, and there's plenty of proof for that out there. Now, regardless of how inhuman this may seem, you need to assemble and cleanse your country of these retards. After all, 70 years ago you guys put the Japanese-Americans into concentration camps, so why not putting all retards (regardless of wealth, race, religion or party) into a single, enormous concentration camp, properly situated in a place like the Death Valley where no one will be disturbed? It'll be better for everyone.

I will never understand how people can post that nasty shit online, on Twitter when their fucking PICTURE AND FULL NAME is sitting right next to their ignorant word excrement. It's really laughable that they don't make the connection that people can actually search for such comments, and, because anything posted on the internet is forever, those comments are burned into reality for eternity.
What if these people try to get a job somewhere where there was a Japanese hiring manger who does background checks? Kiss that opportunity goodbye. It's always good to burn your bridges before they even exist, I suppose.

Yea that's true, but Americans were relevant in this case.
But yes, the level of stupid in humans is mind-boggling.

This needs to be in practice. Hell, if Judgment day comes, they're going first.

For some reason, when I saw the word "gaiz" I did not think of "guys", I read "gays". Maybe Freud was right about something...

Do they not realize that 75% of the judges on that show were not born in America?

It's hard to tell if it's "gays" or "guys".

I actually can't wait for all these idiots to start failing background checks when they are old enough to try and get to job interviews.

Thankfully you're right and shit like this comes as a result of a vocal minority. As for cleansing them, eh, it's their right to be as ignorant as they want. It's a free country and they have a right to feel and think as they wish, just as I have the right to think they are damned idiots and then promptly ignore them. And we try not to think about the camps too much, it really was not our finest hour. Your stereo type did get one thing very right though, a proper hamburger is a wonderful thing (especially when it's got crispy bacon or pancetta, caramelized onions, a nice creamy cheese like cambozola, and is served on a toasted pretzel bun with crispy shoestring fries tossed in parmesan cheese, salt pepper, and a small drizzle of truffle oil)........and now I've made myself hungry.

Here we go again.
Just like I said the other day. I love my country and hate so many of my countrymen.

And thus we have the double edged sword of the information age. On the one hand we have the collective knowledge of the entire human race at our fingertips at all times, on the other hand there are a good number of humans whose knowledge the rest of us are likely far better off with out having access to.

Yep, I said the same thing the other day about the Miss America thing.
There are so many idiots it's mind-boggling. The real problem is access to a worldwide stage on social media for people to see everything stupid kids say. In the past no one knew about these remarks. It's unbelievable how racist our society still is, the scary part is how uninformed we were about how racist our society was.

It's interesting. I saw that guy on TV in Japan while I was there earlier this year. I'm glad he's getting recognition here, too. Too bad the racists are screwing it up for everyone.

As an avid agt watcher, I want to make an observation: I think it breaks the spirit of the competition having him win. No, not because he's Japanese, but because he flew in from Japan to compete.
There are plenty of Americans that aren't of American heritage. There are plenty of people that live in america that aren't citizens. Kenichi is an amazingly talented guy, but he is not in any way an American. He doesn't even live in America. He deserved to win, but I don't think he should have been allowed to compete.
The goal of the show is to find the most talented person in america. To me, that doesn't mean the most talented person to step foot in america. I feel like to win this competition you should have some tie to America beyond the show.
That certainly doesnt excuse the embarassing hate speech spewed all over the internet, but I do think there is a point to be made here

I think many in the rest of the world feel the same way.
We're just louder about it.

Hmm well reasoned and intelligent. Now try expressing that in 140 characters.
In all seriousness though, I have never seen the show but I was wondering while reading that if he was American. With my admittedly limited knowledge I kind of agree with you. The problem is that many people are too moronic to separate a persons race from their nationality.

Agreed, the issue with the Miss America contest was a bunch of racist hate speech against an American women with a different background. In this case, it's not just that he's not of American descent, he's just not from America, and if that's your complaint/argument I agree. When you fail to make that point without racial slurs, you should be banned from speaking and stripped of your ability to reproduce.

Yup. Key difference there.
Intelligent commenting deserves a reward, have a picture of of this slightly creepy Shawn kemp shrine I saw at the fair last weekend.
