Lots of variables there. Factory conversion, mileage, interior? Upload details and pics and I will try to dial in a US price for you, but not sure how that translates to your market

there also isnt a head gasket in the world that would stay in that thing being a turbo 4cyl

That's pretty sweet what country is this in, it will help the car guru's figure out a price.

Factory conversion: yes. He even got the certificate of authencity.
Mileage: 36.000
How to translate: we'll just triple it. Simple as that. Thanks to indonesia's 200% tax for imports.

how much does he need to start his business? what kind of business? if he *doesn't* sell this car, will it prevent him from starting his business?

Maybe arround 25-30k. A restaurant. Maybe he'll sell it anyway, he said he rarely had a chance todrive it.

Yap, 2.3L turbo. And somehow it still able to do 18-20 mpg.

just looking at prices in the US, it seems he could get anywhere from 8-25k for it. but i have no idea how it would work in Indonesia. You could use it as a Hipster Limo for weddings in Brookly, but high-rollers in Jakarta probably want something with a little more...status.

Well, just triple it. Thanks to the 200% tax for import cars.
Honestly, this car once features in a movie!
And not really, sometimes my friend got some couple asking him to rent his car for arround 500-1k a day.
But he never accepts that offer, unless for a movie.

£2,829.65 in the UK ,8-25k in the USA so depending on condition and mileage you could base it off those figures. and thanks for sharing this little unknown piece with us jalop's you prob made a few volvo fans wet their pants...

WHAT COUNTRY?
![]() 09/18/2013 at 15:42 |
|
Well, the car is still pretty good with 25k on the clock, so I think 18k is not too much.
Ya, you're welcome.
I'll post more pics soon.

Indonesia.
Me, my friend, the car, live there.

and anybody buying a car (new and used) has to pay the %200, even for cars already in the country? or are you saying that the %200 tax drives up the prices of all cars?
if he gets offers to rent it as a limo, he might be able to get more money that way then by selling it. but i have no idea about liability and insurance of private car services in Indonesia.

My local Volvo dealer in Boston uses one of these as a courtesy shuttle car. Still. That's my story.
