I would have given up at $3500. But somebody just got a basically new Jetta for half the price of it new. And about $6000 above average. Thanks for bumping the curve!
NP or CP is moot, somebody bought it in a competitive bidding environment. .
So default NP?

And suddenly, an 80s Jetta is 'classic' now.

Yes, even restoration videos. Europe loves Golf, US likes Jetta. Each considers the other the 'weird' MK2.

Does the person who bought it have 'noooo' as their last name? Because if so, the universe has set them up for the most hilariously cruel newspaper headline should they get murdered.

I would love to own that car... but not at $7500.

haha who cares that car has 35000 miles. The only way to buy those A2/3's is with as few options as possible. As a carat someone else can figure out why the windows dont work in 2 months and the sunroof leaks

nooooooooo, it was just me noting that I hadn't bought the Jetta.

Thanks for the heads-up. A less new" Carta" (sp) is for sale locally and I hadn't even noticed the lack of window cranks till now D'oh
It has AutoZoneAccessory disease. I should probably reduce my offer by $100 for each decal.
huhhuh He's saying 'Swag'. huhuh

the carats have some nice features...notice the corrado style steering wheel and nice velour, the rest are great, when they work

"Just look at those intact door seals!" yeah I'm on my 2nd MK2, but 4th in total counting the ones I found for friends.

yeah I am pretty deep into 80's A2 ish dubs. What have I had...let me think
87 16V scirocco, 86 GTI, 90 Jetta GL, 91 Ecodiesel Jetta, 2 87 Golfs, 89 Jetta GLI, 85 Quantum wagon. Now just rocking my 90 Fox wagon, which I love because it doesnt have anything to break, not even power steering

Well, if you count variants, there's a 86 Rabbit that I keep not finding a motor for.

86 Rabbit? you sure it isnt a Golf? Rabbit production ended 84. Tons of 1.8's and more fun things out there for you to throw in! Truth be told I threw the towel in on VW a long time ago, just testing the waters with the Fox to see if I still have the H20 love

Sorry, rabbit habit, I still consider the Mk1 a Rabbit even if it says Cabriolet. Sounds like the taxi division of Chevy.

haha oh yeah it damn sure is still a rabbit. My bad for not remembering. Toss a diesel in it. 45mpg, top down, run forever.

Heh, yeah I even put a Rabbit badge on it.
Yes, a Deeezil is under consideration, but not the TDi it should be. Heck, it's a convertible. Rolling should be sufficient.
