just family vacation.

Talkeetna is a good spot with a great view of Mount McKinley. i was there one day and it was pouring so could barely see the mountains but Denali is amazing!! i liked it way better. i did manage to stop at Talkeetna for a quick view on a clear day when i drove back from Fairbanks to Anchorage. By far Alaska is definitely a Slice of "heaven" absolutely beautiful.

I absolutely love it up here. Awesome thing about where I work...only place on base with a view of Denali! Yup!

I spent a week in Homer back in June (honeymoon). Spend another week exploring Denali, Fairbanks, Dalton Hwy, and back to Willow. Love AK!

I've gotten as far as Seward (which I think is the halfway point between Anchorage and Homer) and Wasilla/Palmer in the other direction (unless of course you want to include the drive from Haines).

Well, if you do make it as far as Homer, be sure to go down to the Spit and get some fresh fish. Best salmon of my life!
