Bolted the carb back up to the Fiat

Much better :) revs nice and quickly. Idle was a bit high, but after some adjustment seems to be alright (if a bit lumpy). It was much happier at 900 than 800, so I might leave it there. I also tried out the !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! . It's ended up very quiet, so you'll probably need full volume. I think because the auto-level took the sound of the idle as 0 and recorded anything louder than that. Next time I'll try recording before starting the engine, so hopefully it'll take the normal background noise as 0.

Thanks :) I was surprised at how good it sounds for a 1.5l 4-cylinder. It sounds a little meatier than the footage suggests as well.
