so i went in to the local toyota dealer today to test drive an frs, and before they would let me have the keys to go for a test drive, they said 'ohh, we gotta check to see if you can afford it, work out hte #s, do paperwork' even though i had the loan papers for my miata in hand and was willing to make a trade TODAY. so i told em fuck yall, im not spending 3 hours filling out forms for a car i might not even like. then i went and did a big doughnut and burnout in their lot, right next the the frs, just to tell em' fuck off' some customers inside saw how they handled me coming in and wanting to trade in my car, and they left immediately after seeing how they treated a possible paying customer. ohh, and the owners of the whole operation are massive coke heads, i went to school with their kids.

But in regards to the post, I somewhat agree with the dealership. The Chevy dealer I worked at was the same way with Camaro's and Vettes merely because those who will ultimately purchase the vehicle don't want someone out test driving the vehicle. Why? Let's be honest, they are going to drive the fuck out of it. Same thing goes for the FR-S.

That is a bullshit policy that would not apply if you wanted a Corolla but they have it because they don't want young kids joy-riding their FRS. I'm not saying that is you, but you fit the profile. And your burnout exit kind of proved their point. Here is what to do for next time, call the dealership tell them you ate interested in a FRS/BRZ and ask to speak to a salesperson knowledgeable about that car. Tell him your trade and ask to make an appointment to test drive. (This will totally throw them off). Then ask if there is any paperwork necessary for pre-approval. If so have them take your info and call you back. This tells them you are a serious and mature buyer, which minimizes hassle.
