Rush is legitimately a great movie. Just don't expect it to be one long racing scene. There is some wonderfully shot and directed racing, but ultimately the film is about Hunt and Lauda. Weirdly, I was reminded of Dragon, the Bruce Lee biopic from the early 90s, although Rush is a MUCH more artful film. The characters are captivating. There's very little of the typical "I'm so lost and lonely, and racing is the only way I can be me" moments, or the obligatory "You're crazy Hunt.. but you're alright. You can be my teammate anytime," followed by a hug and an ass slap. Rush is far more respectful of the men and of the sport. Besides, it's such an unbelievable and inspirational story to begin with, why go messin' with it?
Oh, and there's some Thor butt, so your ladies will like it.
