I'm pretty lazy when it comes to washing and waxing my cars, so I've been using Klasse All-In-One instead of wax for the last year or so. I love how long it seems to last, but I have noticed that it seems to pick up dust pretty easily. Here in dusty SoCal a car wash will last about a week and a half before I've picked up a noticeable layer of dust over the whole car, despite quite a bit of freeway driving. And it sticks well enough that a quick rinse won't clean it off, I have to actually was the car again to get it clean.

Does anyone have suggestions for an alternate product that would be less likely to pick up dust? The paint on my car is pretty sunfaded, so I'm not super worried about shininess, I just want something that will protect against corrosion, keep tar and bugs from sticking, and last a long time.

I'm tempted to try RejeX since I've had pretty good luck with CorrosionX in the past. I've also thought about giving my Klasse AIW a finish coat of Klasse Sealant. But I don't know if either of those will fit my needs.

Thanks in advance!

I use Mothers carnauba wax on my cars, but I don't deal with dust much. Water always beads up on it nicely though, so it should help take the dust off when you rinse it. And with any wax, it'll protect the paint and metal for a while. You may be interested in finding a good sealant too. I've never used those, but they come highly recommended from detailers for protection purposes.

Maybe try something not based on carnauba? I'm using Finish Kare FK 1000p Hi Temp Paste Wax and it's very durable.

How much do you want to spend?

Use IronX and its related products, use a clay bar, then use a wax of your chosing and then finish with GTechniq EXO.

That combination will give you a years worth of sealing, hell locally in Edmonton in the bitter Canadian winter we've had it last upwards of 2 years.

Swisswax is highly recommended, but its pricey as fuck. Really, anything along those lines will do.

I just tried out Meguires ultimate paste wax a couple weeks ago, it has a nice shine to it and it seems to stay cleaner for a bit. I haven't had the opportunity to give her a wash since my move but tomorrow she will get clean. I got the ultimate spray wax just so i can keep some sort of wax on her now that I don't really have time to go through the whole hand wash, clay, wax, second coat of wax routine I would do every few weeks.

You want durable, synthetic wax's are the way to go. You may want to look on the autogeek.net forums for stuff that may suit your needs.

Since you don't care about how much shine you get, try out some synthetic sealants. They are by far the best way to protect your paint from the elements.
