I had a B5 A4 in high school and that bitch had shoddy tires. One day it was pouring rain and I understeered right thought a turn on a slight curved road and straight along a guardrail at the rate of about 25 mph. Then my parents gave it to my sister after i left for the corps and she blew up two of those tires. Then she wrecked it twice and then she bent the valves in 3 cylinders. I will never own a b5 a4 ever again

Kid doesn't even know what he has, no B5 came with a 2.0 anything.

Sounds like it was more an issue of you not having safe tires than the car being unsafe. AWD is not the save-all for shit tires. Bent valves is usually caused by a broken timing belt. Not the car's fault it wasn't cared for. B5 A4 says "Row his Own, never again"

Oh I know it wasn't a save all. Like I said, shoddy tires were definitely a part of that equation. It was worse to drive in any adverse whether than any of the rwd cars I've ever owned. And what happened after I left happened out of my own hands. How many teenage girls do you know that take intricate care of their cars, because when I was in school it was about 0.1% of them that gave a damn

Worse than RWD in inclement weather? You definitely were doing it wrong. I drove mine in all kinds of weather, over mountain passes in blizzards and it never let me down.

Even when the tires were replaced with new continental dws the car was still always skiddish in the rain and snow. That's not to say it wasn't controllable, but it was prone to sliding a completely random times.

Was it FWD? I've been driving B5s since 2006 and that sounds nothing like my experience. In fact, I've never driven anything more planted in the snow. quattro + snow tires = tank in snow.
