This is The Opposite Locker - FarOut Fridays where we try and sort out the cool from the square when it comes to the automobiles of tomorrow (concept cars). This is a discussion system detailing how cool a car is, not how fast, fun, or frivolous it may be, but how well it looks in the cat's pajamas.

The Germanic automotive briefing has come and passed and brought many concept cars that now have to be judged on their potential for hanging out with the cat's pajamas in the cool lockers. The !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! may not be as legendary for displaying crazy concept cars or over the top hypercars as Geneva, but it has brought many potential concepts that could turn out to be the vehicles that we will buy in 5-10 years time. C-X3335734589324935238 - Square. This is not 2003 anymore.
Nanuk - Cool. I don't normally say this of an Audi but it'd make a badass rally car.
S Coupé - Cool. I like how it looks.
Volvo Coupé - Uncool. Doesn't look too Volvo.
Monza - Cool. Opel needs a rear-wheel-drive car.

The poll seems to have the Jag and the Audi backwards, in my estimation.

A. The Jag is cool. It's very good looking, it should perform well, and it should make a great sound. Of all of the SUVs made by luxury/sports car manufacturers, it looks to be one of the best, and it looks to be one that people will point out as "cool."

B. Look. The Audi is awesome. Tons of power, rallycar capabilities, and a little edgy looking. But good god, it is the dorkiest shit I have seen in a long time. Those giant wheels, that ridiculous 4x4 stance, the weirdly angular lines? No. Just no. It's so dorky. It's the geeky science project that you think is interesting, but you'd never talk to your friends about it.

The Audi looks like it was drawn up by the guy who designs Hot Wheels.

And I'm no longer certain that Mercedes can built a cool car...seeming too much me like they are becoming Das Buick.

The Jag suv is cool because...well its a jag suv, people will be all over it and it will be generally regarded as cool. Plus im trying to think of an uncool aluminum suv.....nope.

The nanuk is audio clearly saying "we didn't really think of anything cool to bring...so here is an r8 allroad...neat right?" wont be built, doesn't have a point. lame.

The S-class coupe is sexy as all get out, but it will be bought exclusively by people who bought the original continental GT. instant uncool.

Opel monza needs no defense, this is an amazing vehicle.

the concept c is pretty sweet, if a little derivative...cool.
