These are my leaf springs.
As you can see, they are no longer attached to my truck. Take that, 20 year old bolts! Spent some time sanding on my frame ( the whole point of this journey ). It is look shiny and feeling smooth.
I figured out my tranny leak. In all my trashing I pulled the drive shaft out so far that the fluid could escape. I didn't want to disconnect the drive shaft because I'd been breaking bolts whenever I took something apart. I didn't want to deal with that, but they came out easily. I'm amazed that the drive shaft is held in place by 4 quite small bolts and 2 not so big metal straps.
