I parked across from it today, and I noticed a strange glint.
That would explain the weird exhaust note, alright.

Oh, hi Electrician, haven't heard much from you lately. Still addicted to Kerbal?

a supercharger made it sound worse? or dressed up 535i?

A Turbocharger would change the exhaust note.

Why haven't you struck a conversation/test drive with this guy?

It's very doubtful we speak the same language.

I was assuming it was turbocharged, though now that I think about it, I suppose there's no reason why you couldn't add a FMIC to a supercharged car, I just haven't seen it done.
Definitely an M5, since the fenders had the embedded strakes.

I really should have linked back to the original post. Wasn't thinking about how long a gap it had been between them.
There's an E60 M5 in my building, and it pulled past me one day and sounded awful. That seemed strange. Yesterday I parked next to it and noticed it had a FMIC which I assumed (possibly erroneously) to mean it was turbocharged.

Slightly less so now that actual classes are commanding my attention. Or should be.

hmmm.. you should chat up the owner anyways! an S/C E60 (haven't heard of any turbo kits) is serious business.

As I mentioned to someone else, it's highly unlikely we share a common language.
