I spent the day in Paris, like any good Jalop, looking at cars. Among the gems (with full SR20 to follow, as soon as I get back to blighty and have time to write up the adventure) were a 2000GT (in captivity, I'm afraid, along with the FT-86 Open Concept and a GT-One) and an Amphicar (IN THE WILD!). I also saw an entire flock of Autobianchi and a solitary 356. Watch this space for pictures and video of 4 minutes of traffic around the Arc de Triomphe.

I suppose you went to the Toyota store on the Champs Elysées then ? Did you stop by Citroën, Renault, Peugeot and Mercedes ? They always have some nice stuff on display.

Mercedes always has great car. Last time I went was during fashion week so they had car wrapped in weird vinyl (gold, leather, ..) and the time before that they had a SLS GT3 and a 300 SEL 6.3 (the racecar).

Citroën often displays concept cars and always has a DS3 WRC on display in the basement.

The Fiat motorvillage is quite nice too (which is at the opposite of the arc de triomphe on the Champs Elysées). Last time I went they had a few rally cars (Punto S2000, Delta Integrale, Stratos) and a few racecars (Maserati MC12 and an old Alfa formula car) as well as other cars from Fiat group (like a nice Jeep SRT8).

The Autovillage was closed for what looked like a private party of Autobianchi owners (the flock referenced above), but I'll try and check it out before I get back on the Eurostar tomorrow afternoon.

It's on the same side on the Champs Elysées as Peugeot and Citroën.

Do you post on Autogespot? :) My brother's on there all the time, but sadly, not much to spot in Slovenia. Here's his profile, now enriched by the Nürburgring trip we did a few weeks back: http://www.autogespot.co.uk/spots?spotter=…
