There are several Opponauts and Jalop readers that enjoy motoring on two wheels. We've had discussions 'round here about the most Jalop automobile - apparently an I-5 turbo diesel, 7-spd MTX, Miata shooting brake - but what about the most Jalop motorcycle ?
Aye ? What say ye Jalops on-two-wheels ?
Vincent ?
Moto Guzzi ?
Harley Davidson ?
Bultaco ?
Maico ?
Norton ?
BMW ?
Triumph ?
Indaian ?
Ducati ?
(These are not my photos - each photo is linked to the original image location where it's likely you'll find more images of each example.)

Even though I can't ride a motorcycle due to lack of balance, I admire Nazi era BMW R71. Ja , it got my vote.

Has anyone made a turbo-diesel rotary bike yet? That one.

or two wheel drive Christini

Hmmm....Turbo diesel rotary...Diesels are smog exempt in California...
How much compression can you run on a rotary? lol

The entire history of 50cc racing is the answer. 380 BHP/litre 45 years ago...
http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthr…
The amazing Suzuki RP 68 50cc Grand Prix Triple
Rotary Valve two-stroke with 3-cylinders in a V configuration (2 horizontal...1 vertical)..each yielding 16.6 cc (that's 1 cubic inch) of raw stump pulling torque
Actually, all 3 couldn't pull the cap off your head....but at 20,000 rpm it made 19 BHP
And it had a power band narrow and sharp enough to cut diamonds
So how to keep it on the boil? How about a 14 speed gearbox
Specs?
Bore =
"Not much"
Stroke =
"Pretty much fuck-all"

OMG. That is the coolest 'minibike motor' I have seen in a long time. 20,000 rpm ? Unleash the bees !

Heh, I also posted a youtube video of them - the top comment on that is 'LIKE A SWARM OF BEES' :)
Also, if you think that's good, imagine what might have been...
Maximum output of a 50cc engine using "todays technology"!
The expert: "The best horsepower we attained at Aprilia last year (2007 125cc GP) was 53,9 HP at 13000 rpm. This means a Pme of 14.88 at a piston speed of 23,6 m/sec. Using these same values means that a single cylinder 50cc would give 29.5 HP at 17850 rpm and a 50cc twin would give 39 HP at 23600 rpm, measured at the gearbox output shaft. I am 100% sure these values can be attained although it never will be proved due to lack of interest and money. Remember that 50cc development was stopped in 1983 and enormous progress was made in the following 24 years. Now, sadly, also the development of the 125cc two strokes has stopped, the two stroke will only survive in karting but there will be no progress because of the very strict regulations!" The most jalop motorcycle should be a motorcycle owned by a jalop
So I choose mine.

Why has nobody posted a CBX yet?
Actually to steal vracktal's idea, I am going to say the bike I own. But back it up with additional evidence. The wagon of motorcycles. Sporty yet quite comfortable and practical (there is a quote from cycle world along the lines of "a practical solution to real world problems.") For bikes I would move to europe in a heartbeat, if you think cars are bad, look at how much cool shit they get on 2 wheels...

2013 Norton DomiRacer!

Sure, LJK Setright loved the CBX. And he rode a custom Dresda with a CBX engine long before there were Cafe Racer shows on TV about that sort of thing.

Hard to argue with anything here, but I'll also throw in '70s/early '80s Universal Japanese Motorcycles. Honda CB, Kawasaki KZ, Suzuki GS. Fast, fun, and cheap, like Datsun Zs and RX7s were for cars.
Oh, Naked Gold Wings too:

Yeah, I imagine the handling's awesomely light as a result.

Cheap, lightweight, reliable, handles well... Basically the Miata of motorcycles.
