Hola compadres, I finally made it out to the local Cars and Coffee in Tesuque, just outside of Santa Fe in the Newer of the Mexicos. It was a small event, but there were some nice cars and it was lots of fun.
Disclaimer: I am not a photographer so be gentle. Scroll to bottom for the grand finale.
This 1962 356 was not restored, it had little rust bits and paint chips. Obviously been driven, as it should be.
The owner said this window shape was one of his favorite lines on the car.
Funky tail light is funky.
Aston DB9, looking really good in white. Also my little Japanese car in the background. Mine was the only representative from the land of the rising sun.
Love the 356 exhaust integrated into the bumper! Also the reflectors above the tail lights are a funky option. The owner of the car really liked funky options.
the owner of this 328 was a pretty cool guy. he even humored me by looking at my poor man's Ferrari, turns out he used to own an MR2 as well.
Straight up Jalopnik porn right here. Oldsmobile Wagon. One of my favorite parts has to be the linear speedo.
By far the best/most expensive car was this. i believe its an Aston DBR1 (maybe a DBR2?), but not 100% sure, i didn't get a chance to ask the owner. Some details i did overhear were that the motor bored out to 4.2L, heads modified to run on unleaded fuel, and he modified the pedal box so he could drive it with shoes on.
After the event the owner took us back to his Garage Mahaul and showed us his BMW Z8, McLaren 12C, Morgan 3 wheeler, and 997 Carerra 4S Vert. Very cool and very nice gentleman, just another car guy. Incredible to see the Aston driving down the road, license plate scraping over bumps.
I Love all the little details on this thing. the trunk handle/holder is a work of art!
That's all I've got for now. The Santa Fe Concourso is coming up the end of September, I'll try and get some better pictures of some cooler cars.
