In honor of the first Friday of the month...this was my first. The car that got me into cars.

For me, there was no particular car. I was just born that way. Seriously, just ask my parents, I've always liked cars.

I totally was too. So was my son. The testarossa was was the first one I remember just being head over heels for.

Those are all gorgeous. I think another close second would be the delorean too. I must have watched BTTF 1000 times by the end of the 80s.

More specifically, a cardboard cutout of a '57 Bel Air that came with an order of fries at some restaurant many years ago. I kept it for years, and as a kid, every old car was a Bel Air to me.

I couldn't wait for my son to get old enough for me to give him mine that I had kept from when I was a kid. Now his collection makes mine look like nothing. I don't even know how many he has.

My son is almost a year old and I already bought a few for him...but he won't get them yet. :)

I was born this way.
But as a kid my favourite matchbox car was a limited edition Audi Avus Quattro. I still have it in a small display box on my desk.
I also had a few larger die cast cars, my favourites were a black 959, and a black F40.

I'm like you and Arch Duke Maxyenko, I've always loved cars since before I can remember. But the ones I first remember lusting after, in this order:
Early F3 Camaro Z28:
Early C3 Corvette:
Countach LP500S:
Marty's '85 Toyota Pickup:
And back to Camaros with the IROC-Z:

I was late to the party, but I saw an image (similar to this) of an R34 with smoke around it in a US brochure from NAIAS...I had to know more.
