Mazdaspeed? Yes! Depending on the mileage/condition, that's a potential NP

It does have almost 100000 miles. But I remember that exact car was listed for 12000$ months ago then 10000$ and now 9000$...there must be something fishy...

Ah, it's probably the mileage. 100,000 miles is a lot for $9,000.

I'll check it out!

If a turbo Miata is what you want, you'd be better off getting a regular NB for ~$5,000 and putting the $4,000 you saved into a better turbo kit. Plus this car is at its TB/WP job which is not a big deal but it is still ~$200 in parts and a day of your time to do the job. If it had lower miles I'd be all over it but there are nice 99/00's out there for much less with the same miles. You also have to be concerned about the top as well. Tops are about $700 for a canvas Robins top plus the labor to install it. I think it is a CP, get an NB with the popular equipment package, or an SE trim to get the LSD and 99/00 still had the Torsen and not the Tochigi-Fuji one like the MSM has. You can find a better Miata out there than this one.

Don't you already have a Miata? Just spend money on that, you can get it just as fast (if not faster) for much less money.

Thanks for waking me up out of this!

Anytime.
Oh and the 6 speed is annoyingly short ratioed. I'd drive one to see how you like that box, I can't stand it and would rather have the 5 speed as you end up at the same revs on the highway and you are not having to go up and down the gears constantly. Mazda really missed the mark with that tranny, they should have kept the 5 speed gearing and put a true overdrive for the 6th. . .

I know I know...but if I can get the car with all the bells and whistles already in it, I would be happier. Am lazy.

I can imagine how ridiculously short the shifts are especially with the Turbo. I wonder what's the top speed in it?

probably high 120's or about there. I do believe the Miata is aero limited and not really gear limited though.
I just saw that you have an NA, your NA can be much faster and handle much better than an MSM with choice upgrades. Plus the BP is a damn reliable motor and likes boost. Just get the FM turbo kit and a new clutch and call it a day and never need to be tempted by the MSM again, unless a Titanium Grey or Evolution Orange one comes up for sale with ~100 miles on it. . .

I'd say any old cars with 100 miles on the clock hahaha

Aside from the original color cars, the color MSM's are the rarest Miatae ever produced. Which would make a really low mileage MSM a decent collectors car in the future. I wouldn't want to just shove it in the garage and just stare at it though, I think cars lose something when they aren't driven, it makes me sad to know that there are cars out there that people are afraid to put miles on because it will devalue it. Thats bullshit cars need to be driven especially the uber rare ones.
sorry for the tangent, I'm trying not to focus on my calculus HW right now. . .

I have been involved in a purchase of a NB 2001 Miata with 175K miles on it in REALLY nice condition for 3500$.

I paid the same without the taxes for my NA with a few repairs to do. I had 156K miles on it. Am really satisfied!

Yeah this little NB has been great. Definitely worth the cash, and you can't really tell it has had that many miles on it. Awesome cars.
