He's asking too much for a 912 that needs work. I could see a good example going for that much but $25,500 is too much for this one I think.

Yeah, I'm surprised it's that expensive too. Now, a 911 in the same shape and year? Possibly. But not that.

I secretly lust after a 912. I can't wait to put some 911 R front and rear bumpers on one and tweak the engine a bit :D

Ignoring the high price on that one - if you want a daily driver 912, you're better off picking up a 912E. While expensive by old school VW standards, the VW Type IV motor is more reliable and cheaper to maintain. Neither are going to be modern fast, though. If I made a bit more money, I'd love to pick one up as there is something about the body style of the earlier 911s that resonates with me.
